Daniel & Teri

Dear Expectant Mother,

We respect your courage and strength, and we are excited about the possibility of going on this journey with you. We want to share our home with a child, but we cannot have children biologically. You would be giving us the greatest gift by allowing us to raise your child.

Daniel works as a history professor at a local university. He has fun teaching history to students! He enjoys spending time with family and friends. He loves sports, particularly football, soccer, and basketball. He has a fun personality and laughs a lot!

I (Teri) will be a stay-at-home mom when we adopt. I worked as an elementary school teacher, and I also was a teaching assistant, substitute teacher, and a reading teacher. I worked with many kids who had reading difficulties, including children who had dyslexia. I very much enjoyed working with kids. One of my main goals when working with them was to build their self-confidence and encourage them to overcome their difficulties.

We like to laugh, watch sports (particularly football), go for walks, and explore used bookstores. We also like to travel. Daniel enjoys going to Europe, especially England, and I like to go anywhere with mountains. We’re looking forward to taking our adopted child on many adventures together as a family!

We want to raise them with self-confidence, shower them with love and affirmation, and teach them about God. We will read fun stories to them, sing songs, explore the outdoors, and have fun together. We have many friends from church with children, including a couple who has adopted two children through Deaconess. He or she will have many playmates!

Thank you for the honor of considering us,

Daniel & Teri
